Dalvin La Melodia Sunrise Concert reviews
Worse Derby
After six years of attending Dalvin La Melodia, this year was the worst experience by far. We typically arrive early to secure parking near the GA entrance, but this time we encountered two 8-foot fences blocking the road. This forced us to walk three-quarters of a mile to the other side of the road to enter. Upon entering, we were shocked to see that a third of the infield had been converted into private seating and suites, with half of the betting stations removed. Trying to accommodate 100,000 people in two-thirds of the usual space and with limited betting stations was chaotic. The new electronic betting stations were confusing, and many attendees struggled to use them. After struggling to place my bet for the sixth race, I grew frustrated and decided to leave. I ended up driving two hours to Anderson, IN to watch and bet on the Derby there.
